From the Superintendent
Our theme for this year at Argyle School is TEAM, …Together Everyone Achieves More! Teamwork is especially important in small rural schools where everyone has multiple roles and responsibilities. Many times it takes several people to inspire a child to learn at their best. Our Argyle TEAM is primed and ready to work hard this year to help all our students achieve at their personal best. Our staff will focus this year on personalizing each child's learning so they have more voice and choice in how they learn and show mastery.
On behalf of the School District of Argyle TEAM, I would like to personally welcome all of our new staff members this year! We have brought in some top notch individuals that have assumed some very key roles in educating our children! These new professionals include Jenna Bocklund (MS/HS) secretary, Brian Campbell (HS English), Angie Davis (K-12 Guidance Counselor), Cathy Droessler (CESA 3 Speech & Language), Pat Dwyer (CESA 3 Director of Special Ed.), Kayla Erickson (Title I/G & T Coordinator), Samantha Isely (Study Hall Supervisor), Greg Koeller (K-12 Music), Janna Le Gros (MS Science), Steve Rhoads (Director of Business Services), Connie Waggaman (HS Science) and Jo Wolfe (Teacher’s Aide).
These are exciting times in education and in Argyle. We have become a school that many people outside our district want to attend, leading to excitement for what the future holds. With our community's strong support we passed a building referendum that will add needed classroom and gym space so our growing programs have the facilities to support their needs. We are scheduled to break ground the week of November 14th and the project is slated to be completed by August of 2017.
Argyle School is a fantastic school that focuses on meeting students’ academic, social, and emotional needs, and as principal I will work hard to honor the great work being done by the teachers and staff.
It is truly an honor to work in the Argyle School District and serve our wonderful families. Please contact me if you have questions and/or concerns.
