Congratulations to Josie Penniston who won the 400 in a time of 58.52 and finished second in the 200 in a time of 26.53 to advance to the State Track meet in both events.  Great job Josie! 

 

7th & 8th grade girls will be having their first practice tonight from 6:00 – 7:30.

 

The FFA members going to the State FFA Convention in June should have their permission slips to Ms. Peterson by today. 

 

FFA members who plan to show at the Green County or Lafayette County Fairs should register on-line by today.  If you have questions, please see Ms. Peterson. 

 

FFA members will be doing highway clean-up on Tuesday. 

 

There are a few extra yearbooks available for a short time.  Cost is $45.00. 

 

All virtual students need to be completed by May 31st.   

 

Students interested in the Art/Spanish trip next year should turn in their registration and deposit to Ms Haase or Ms Buss by June 1.   

 

The school is still looking for summer student workers.  If you are interested, please fill out an application from our website and submit a letter of interest to Mr. Updike  today.

The FFA members going to the State FFA Convention in June should pick up the permission slips and get them back to Ms. Peterson by tomorrow. 

 

FFA members who plan to show at the Green County or Lafayette County Fairs should register on-line by tomorrow.  If you have questions, please see Ms. Peterson. 

 

FFA members will be doing highway clean-up on Tuesday, May 31st

 

AP students:  please pay the $91.00 to Mrs. Welch by the end of the day today. 

 

Seniors:  All bills must be paid before graduation.

Congratulations to Josie who won both the 400 and 200 meter races at Cuba City while Lucas was the anchor on the boys 1600 relay that is advancing to Sectionals.  Josie also qualified as a member of the girls 1600 meter relay.  Track athletes advanced in 12 events for Sectionals at Bangor on Thursday, May 26th

 

Congratulations to Collin who has been accepted into the Summer Seminar program at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The program is designed for high school juniors heading into their senior year, and gives them a realistic view of air force cadet life.  Students are selected on their leadership experience, extracurricular and community activities, athletics and academics. 

 

Seniors:  during the last 10 minutes of lunch today, please stop down by the Ag room.  The FFA will be providing the root beer floats you won for FFA Week activities.

This afternoon, 51st State Assembly Rep Todd Novak will be speaking to all MS – HS students in the cafetorium about Wisconsin Government and tobacco related issues.  He will be taking questions from teachers and students.   The assembly will be from 1:45 to 2:25.

 Argyle School District is seeking student workers for seasonal (LTE) employment for the summer of 2016 (June – August).  The duties may include but not be limited to:  moving and/or lifting furniture, sanitizing classrooms, desks, floors and/or other duties as assigned.  Hours will be determined on a weekly basis.  If interested in this position, please fill out a District application (see the website) and submit a letter of interest to Mr. Updike by Friday, May 27th.

A big thank you is extended to all NHS members and inductees for a great ceremony last evening. 

 

Ms Haase’s homeroom will report to Ms Hittesdorf’s room today for homeroom.

The NHS Induction ceremony is today beginning at 6:00 PM in the cafetorium.  Current members and new inductees should arrive by 5:30 PM for a quick run through. 

 

Awards & Scholarship night is also this evening.  The awards program starts at 7:00 PM, scholarships around 7:45.  This is an important occasion, so please dress up.  If you are receiving an award, you will receive an invitation. 

 

Reminder to Seniors who receive any scholarships, it is very important to write a thank you back to the person or organization giving the scholarship.

Everyone is encouraged to wear purple tomorrow to support the Lafayette County Relay for Life theme of Paint Your World Purple.  Purple flowers can be bought for $1.00 from Mrs. Davis or Mrs. Leary.    You can also wear a hat of your choice for $1.00.  The class with the most money raised will win an ice cream sundae party.  There will be one MS class winner and one HS class winner.  Pay the dollar to your 1st hour teacher tomorrow, please.

Congratulations to Cam who was the top performer in the area fitness testing done by the Monroe Clinic Sports Dept.   They tested 348 students and Cam was number one in all areas.  

 

Music students did a great job at the Spring Concert yesterday.  If you would like a copy of the program, please see Ms. Liebergen. 

 

Track athletes should be released at 2:00 today, varsity golf at 2:15.   

 

NHS will have a meeting today during Homeroom.
