Dear Parents and Guardians:
Earlier today we were notified that a staff member has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). We are working to determine the extent of close contact and potential exposures. At this time the staff member is under quarantine and will not return until the quarantine period is complete (14 days) or medical authorities have determined it is safe for that person to return.
As a result of this information we will not have in-person or virtual instruction on Friday, December 11, 2020 for 4K-5th grade students only. At this time, 5th grade students will be learning virtually through December 22. All 6-12 students will continue with instruction as planned. If you are not comfortable with your child continuing in-person instruction, please let us know. We will work with you to continue virtual instruction at this time.
We are working with the Lafayette County Health Department to gather additional information and will send further communication through School Messenger, text message, and Facebook detailing our plan for instruction next week.
If we need to move to virtual instruction next week, Chrome books and classroom materials will be prepared for pick-up on Monday. we need to change our instructional model, we will be in touch with families to provide more details.
