Congratulations to Darrien and Rhett for placing 1st and 2nd respectively in the American Legion Oratorical contest yesterday. As the winner, Darrien moves on to the next level.
There will be a Student Council meeting today during break in the library.
There will be a National Honor Society meeting tomorrow in Ms. Lombardo’s room during break.
The FFA Holiday party is scheduled for Monday, December 17th. Sign up by next Friday, please. The FFA is planning to go to a hockey game on January 25th. That sign up is also outside the Ag room.
Art Club Students need to turn money collected for Chip Shopp orders to Mrs. Rolfsmeyer by Thursday. You must have this turned in before your items will be given to you Monday.
The first MAQA meeting for the 2013 fair will be held on December 26th. If you plan on participating in the auction this year at the fair you must attend one of the three MAQA trainings that will be held this year. The dates for the other meeting will be announced after January 1st. If you have any questions about the meeting, please contact your FFA Advisor or the UW- Extension Office. The meeting is from 10am-12pm.
The Red Cross will hold a blood drive in our commons area on Wednesday from 1:30 to 5:30. Students who are ages 16& 17 and are interested in donating blood, can pick up a form in the office giving parent permission. It takes about an hour to donate and donors should be in good health and weigh over 110 pounds.
The National Honor Society is collecting toys and clothing for struggling families in the local area until Friday. Please bring items to your advisor’s room.
The Penny War ends tomorrow! You have until then to fill up your bucket. The winning grade will get an ice cream party, served to them by the losing grade. Every little bit helps and goes toward the Xmas blessing Project.
Wisconsin Public Television will be airing a Teen Connection program called “Teen Suicide” tonight at 7:00. This program will offer an open forum for Wisconsin teens to talk about suicide. A panel of teens and counselors will give information and answer questions that can be sent by text or on Facebook. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other teens across the state about a very important topic.

This Thursday is the elementary holiday program; it will start at 2 pm and run through 7th and 8th hour. Middle & High School Students who have a sibling in grades 5-K are allowed to attend as long as they have a note from a parent, a pre-excused form, and they sit with their families at the performance.
