Admission Requirements
-
The stronger the college preparatory courses you complete in high school, the more likely you’ll succeed in college. Courses required for college admission vary among institutions.
-
All UW campuses require a minimum of 17 college preparatory credits from high school, however, some campuses require more. Minimum: 4 English, 3 Math (including Algebra 2), 3 Natural Science, Social Science, 4 Elective.
-
Always check with the college you are interested in for specific requirements.
-
Foreign Language
-
This requirement also varies among post secondary schools.
-
A minimum of 2 credits in a single foreign language may be required for admission, and may help meet graduation requirements at universities.
-
Entrance Exams
-
All students are required to take the ACT during the spring of their junior year, but they may schedule it any time throughout or after their junior year. Testing in the spring allows the results to be available for early application to colleges and it gives the students sufficient time to retake the test if they were not satisfied with their score.
-
The SAT may also be required by colleges or universities for entrance.
